ABOUT tremor 4
Tremor Live Arts presents Tremor_4 <Live.Doc>, a mulit-locational performedia festival that will occur in the artist’s present location. This year's Tremor is happening Nov. 8-11, 2007. However, we cannot say where it is, only when. Like a homemade antenna, we design a call for entries where Tremor turns into another medium and form of experimentation. We turn to the participants as collaborators to create the event. We see that whatever happens during this time will bring diverse outbursts, activations, and presences around cities, MUDS, café internets, streets with diverse audiences and with different senses of connectivity. We are not proposing to abandon the model of a festival that is around space, in fact we will make tremor again in Colombia and other locations, but what we are doing is following the strategies and possibilities that the works of many Tremor artists have taught us.

TREMOR Live Arts
Tremor Live Arts is a platform for experimental live art, a space for performance art, noise/sound/transmissions arts, and multi-disciplinary actions/interventions. Tremor as a festival steps into the intersection of experimentation between diverse mediums and practices, mobile technologies, and new communtities as well as shifting perceptions around audience, stage, and artist. In other words, Tremor is a place for creating vibrations that activate moments in space and time through art and presence.

Tremor es una iniciativa de artes vivas, fundida por Malcolm Smith y organizada y presentada por el Colectivo Tremor Artes Vivas, anualmente desde el año 2004. El evento anual es una plataforma para la experimentación de las artes vivas que incluye performance, noise/sonido y artes de transmisión, como también acciones multidisciplinarias e intervenciones. Abrazando las artes vivas como un campo dinámico y cambiante de creación, nosotros nos situamos en una intersección de experimentación de diversos medios y prácticas, tecnologías móviles, y nuevas comunidades como también en territorios de redefiniciones de conceptos como escenario, audiencia y artista. En esta categoría tan extensa confluyen tanto lo que es performance, como también todo aquello que se encuentra en desarrollo y experimentación en el campo de las artes vivas, sus formas y nuevas expresiones.
